A woman who wears many hats, Cindy Sheppard is founder, owner, designer and craftsman of CK FootWorks. Working alongside of Cindy is her mother, and partner, Kay who serves as photographer, advisor, and financial manager. Together they have served the North Carolina area for over 3 years.

Recognizing her passion early on to design and make shoes, Cindy sought out and received instruction and training from many craftsmen. She began her career by gaining valuable experience as an apprentice in shoe and handbag repair at the Village Shoe in Wilton, CT, under the tutelage of Christo Kydes. There she opened her first business, Sandals by Cindy, designing and making custom made sandals. Having received further education in the field of pedorthics at Ball State University and Oklahoma State University, Cindy was originally certified as a Pedorthist in the state of North Carolina. Cindy's most recent training has come from mentor and master craftsman, Alan Zerobnick, shoemaker to the clowns, and founder of shoeschool.com.

Drawing on her experience and training from the last 25 years in the industry, Cindy has developed an eye for detail, and a dedication to fine craftsmanship.Using the highest quality leather and materials, each product in the CK FootWorks, and Hyggeligs By Cindy lines are made to last, and proudly labeled "Made in America"!
